Successfully transitioning to the rigors of college sports requires investing in the next level.  To follow are three tools:

1) Video on how to use your Breath to Center and calm.

2)  A Letting Go Meditation

3) A Visualization Exercise

Using Your Breath to Center and Calm

Your breath is a super power if you PROACTIVELY use it to center and calm.  In this 5 minute video you will learn how to use your breath to center and calm.

The Power of Journaling and Visualization

You have a copy of the Great Sports Minds Athlete Journal. One of the exercises in the journal is a visualization exercise.   There is great power in writing about past performances to fuel your confidence and how you will play in the future.

One version of this exercise is to write about how you plan to play or compete at practice or a future competition. Write with a focus on your effort, you communication skills, your intensity and weave in great moments from past performances.  Example I will be aggressive on offense just like I was in the Senior Cup and look to create opportunities for myself and teammates.  Write and do this exercise often.

Calm before Competition

You Physically Train Hard.  It's time to Learn to be still.

This meditation is a very physical meditation that helps you let go of stress, let go of perfectionism, and more. Lean into the meditation and try it.
